Speaking of parents—you have Filipino features but your accent registers foreign, are your parents Pinoys?

My Filipina features come from my mom. My father is more on the mestizo side. The accent comes from the fact that I was born in the States, Seattle Washington to be exact, and raised in Los Angeles. I’ve lived in the States all life, but spent two and a half years here in the Philippines. I absolutely loved every minute of it!

We hear some of the clothes you designed were also used in the shoot.
Yes, I am also a bikini designer. We have a line called LolliMe bikinis (www.lollime.com) which I own and run with my brother Vince.

Cindy Kurleto (Cat Kurleto)

Cat Kurleto (born April 21, 1981 in popularly known as Cindy Kurleto, is a 5'7" model, actress, and a former MTV VJ in the Philippines. Her father is Austrian. She is best known for being a commercial model and an FHM model in the Philippines and also for playing the role of Cassiopea in the hit series Encantadia and its prequel/sequel Etheria.


Cindy Kurleto is the daughter of divorced couple Faustina Verdillo and Friedrich Kurleto. She was taken care of by her mother in Austria where she grew up. Cindy finished her education from elementary to college and took a Hotel and Restaurant Management course. She later became a waitress. In 2001, she left her job and decided to take a vacation in her other home country, the Philippines. She sold her car and apartment, quit her job, bought a ticket, packed one suitcase and left for the Philippines. Long after arriving, she decided to settle there for good.

Her first movie was Jerry Lopez Sineneng's "Ngayong Nandito Ka" with Kristine Hermosa, Jericho Rosales and Onemig Bondoc (2003). Cindy Kurleto and Kristine Hermosa stayed very good friends since after the movie they made together in 2003, contrary to the rumors.

She has been appearing in commercials and FHM Philippines and local TV shows ever since.

Cindy was declared FHM Philippines' Sexiest Woman of the World in 2004, and appeared on the cover of FHM Philippines on April 2004.

She became a co-host in the longest noontime variety show "Eat Bulaga" and mainstay in Sundays' comedy show "Daddy Di Do Du".

Amanda Griffin (born Amanda Claire Griffin in Windsor, Berkshire) is an English model and television personality in the Philippines. Griffin is the eldest of three children born in Windsor to an English father and a Filipino mother. She spent her childhood growing up in the United Kingdom, the United States and in the Philippines, where she is currently based. She attended a university in Australia and has degrees in both Communications and Business.

Since she was 14, Griffin has modeled for numerous designers and brands both in the Philippines and other countries in Asia, where she has also graced the covers of different magazines. I love japanese food. SUSHI SUSHI SUSHI! It can be a freakin Yoshinoya for all I care, I just love Japanese cuisine. Some day I hope to visit Japan and live up-or shall i say-scarf down- all the good food!
